Hello and Welcome

  I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio attending public schools from K-12. My parents immigrated from Turkey to pursue advanced degrees so education was always the #1 priority in our household.  Education has opened many doors for my family, and I am committed to creating opportunities for yours. 

Ten years ago, my family relocated to California. Like many parents, we did the research and chose Carlsbad for its excellent public schools.

 For 25+ years, my career has been focused on helping companies follow the law while maintaining high ethical standards. This is also critical in an educational setting. I train employees, manage vendors, review contracts, plan budgets and supervise staff. I am skilled at building consensus across departments to achieve results. 

This expertise is directly applicable to serving on the CUSD school board, where oversight responsibilities include:
